About this series:
In this 4-week session, Amir will be covering and teaching different Persian Rhythms, how they are played, what they are called, and when they are used; from meditative Sufi rhythms to Dance Rhythms.
A drum is required, but you are welcome to use whatever drum you have at home. Drum options include Daf & Frame Drum.
Bio:
Amir Etemadzadeh is a Middle Eastern musician, instructor, performer, and composer. Born and raised in Iran, he received extensive musical education form various masters. After arriving in the US in 2003 he expanded his portfolio to include world music drums. He is passionate about education and promoting peace through music and art. He currently manages his music academy "Amir School of Music."
